about
Rob Bender’s single RED KITE featuring Fabiana Passoni is a musical celebration of life! RED KITE gets right into a smooth groove with infectious rhythms and a melody that rides with the wind.
When producer/songwriter Rob Bender met Brazilian jazz and pop singer Fabiana, he was struck not only by the quality of her voice, but also by her positive attitude and tireless energy. She possess a rare quality – she leaves an impression on your soul. Her three-year battle with breast cancer put her on a journey of survival, musical discovery, and an everyday appreciation of life. Rob wrote and recorded Red Kite specifically with Fabiana in mind, so it’s no wonder she literally lives and breathes the lyrics. Rob is also joined by studio veteran Keith Jones (Jean-Luc Ponty, Airto, Flora Purim) who lends his own brand of affirmative vibes to this spirited recording.

Red kite, on a blue sky
It’s a good day, today
Sunshine, warms my body
Rains wash, blues away
We move too fast
We lose our touch
We make a fuss
It’s all too much
Can you hear it, something’s calling
On the wind, it starts to rise
I hear it, in the tree tops
I see it, in your eyes
We move too fast
We loose our touch
We make a fuss
It’s all too much
Maybe it’s today
You’ll get up and say
It’s gonna be a better day
Just pick it up and play it
Then you’re gonna to say it
It’s such a good day today
Slow down, don’t regret it
Hiding worries, will not pay
Look deep, in the mirror
See your soul there, don’t look away
We move too fast
We lose our touch
We make a fuss
It’s all too much
